Water resources data for Idaho, water year 1980: Volume 1. Great Basin and Snake River basin above King Hill

Water resources data for the 1980 water year for Idaho consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; stage, contents, and water quality of lakes and reservoirs; and water levels and water quality of ground water. This report in two volumes contains discharge records for 192 gaging stations; stage only records for 2 gaging stations; stage only for 11 lakes and reservoirs; contents only for 16 lakes and reservoirs; water quality for 85 gaging stations, 43 partial-record stations, 196 wells, and 5 precipitation sites; and water levels for 366 observation wells. Also included are data for 56 crest-stage partial-record stations. Additional water data were collected at various sites, not involved in the systematic data collection program, and are published as miscellaneous measurements. These data represent that part of the National Water Data System operated by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Idaho.

Also included are data for 56 crest-stage partial-record stations. Water resources data--Illinois, water year 2003

This annual Water-Data Report for Illinois contains current water year (Oct. 1, 2003, to Sept. 30, 2004) and historical data of discharge, stage, water quality and biology of streams; stage of lakes and reservoirs; levels and quality of ground water; and records of precipitation, air temperature, dew point, solar radiation, and wind speed. The current year's (2004) data provided in this report include (1) discharge for 177 surface-water gaging stations and for 10 crest-stage partial-record stations; (2) stage for 27 surface-water gaging stations; (3) stage for 8 reservoirs; (4) water-quality records for 7 surface-water stations; (5) sediment-discharge records for 16 surface-water stations; (6) water-level records for 14 ground-water wells; (7) precipitation records for 50 rain gages; (8) records of air temperature, dew point, solar radiation and wind speed for 1 meteorological station; and (9) biological records for 6 sample sites. Also included are miscellaneous data collected at various sites not in the systematic data-collection network. Data were collected and compiled as a part of the National Water Information System (NWIS) maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with Federal, State, and local agencies.

Water resources data for Kansas, water year 1971; Part 2, Water quality records

Water-resources data for the 1971 water year for Kansas include records of data for the chemical and physical characteristics of surface and ground water. Data on the quality of surface water (chemical, microbiological, temperature, and sediment) were collected from designated sampling sites at predetermined intervals such as once daily, weekly, monthly, or less frequently. Records are given for 66 sampling stations of which 9 are partial-record stations, and 52 are miscellaneous sites. Records of chemical analyses are given for 46 ground-water sites. Locations of surface water-quality stations are shown in Figure 1, page 2. Records for pertinent water-quality stations in bordering States are also included. The records were collected by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of C. W. Lane, district chief. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Kansas. The Geological Survey has published records of chemical quality, suspended sediment, and water temperatures since 1941 in annual series of water-supply papers entitled, "Quality of Surface Waters of the United States." Beginning with the 1964 water year, water-quality records also have been released by the Geological Survey in annual reports on a State-boundary basis. Distribution of these reports is limited; they are designed primarily for rapid release of data shortly after the end of the water year to meet local needs. These records will be published later in Geological Survey water-supply papers.

Water resources data, Kansas, water year 1987

Water-resources data for the 1987 water year for Kansas consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; elevation, contents, and water quality of lakes or reservoirs; and water levels and water quality of ground-water wells. This report contains records for water discharge at 140 gaging stations; elevation and contents at 24 lakes or reservoirs; water quality at 31 gaging stations; and water levels at 1,590 observation wells and water quality at 221 wells. Also included are data for 87 high-flow, 10 low-flow, and 1 flood hydrograph partial-record station; and 2 chemical-quality of precipitation stations. Miscellaneous field water-quality data were collected at 101 measured sites, and miscellaneous water-quality data were collected at 14 sampling sites. These data represent that part of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and federal agencies in Kansas.

Water resources data for Louisiana, water year 1970

Water-resources data for the 1970 water year for Louisiana, including records of streamflow or reservoir storage at gaging stations, partial-record stations, and miscellaneous sites, and records of water quality data on the chemical and physical characteristics of surface water are given in this report. Records for a few pertinent gaging stations in bordering States are also included. The records were collected and computed by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of Rex R. Meyer, district chief. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and federal agencies in Louisiana. Through September 30, 1960, the records of discharge and stage of streams and contents and stage of lakes or reservoirs were published in an annual series of U.S. Geological Survey water-supply papers entitled, "Surface Water Supply of the United States." Beginning with the 1961 water year, streamflow records and related data have been released by the Geological Survey in annual reports on a State-boundary basis. Distribution of these reports is limited; they are designed primarily for rapid release of data shortly after the end of the water year to meet local needs. Records will be published in Geological Survey water-supply papers at 5-year intervals. The Geological Survey has published records of chemical quality, suspended sediment, and water temperatures since 1941 in an annual series of water-supply papers entitled, "Quality of Surface Waters of the United States." Beginning with the 1964 water year, water-quality records also have been released on a State-boundary basis in conjunction with streamflow records or in a separate volume.
