Water resources data for Indiana, water year 1972

Water resources data for the 1972 water year for Indiana, including records of streamflow or reservoir storage at gaging stations, partial-record stations, and miscellaneous sites, and records of water-quality data on the chemical and physical characteristics of surface water are given in this report. Records for a few pertinent gaging and water-quality stations in bordering States also are included. The records were collected and computed by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of J. L. Cook, district chief. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Indiana.

Water resources data for California, water year 1978; Volume 1: Colorado River basin, southern Great Basin from Mexican border to Mono Lake basin, and Pacific Slope basins from Tijuana River to Santa Maria River

Water-resources data for the 1978 water year for California consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; stage, contents, and water quality of lakes and reservoirs; records of water levels in selected observation wells; and selected chemical analyses of ground water. Records for a few pertinent streamflow and water-quality stations in bordering States are also included. These data, a contribution to the National water Data System, were collected by the Geological Survey and cooperating local, State, and Federal agencies in California.

Water-resources data for the 1979 water year for California consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; stage, contents, and water quality of lakes and reservoirs; records of water levels in selected observation wells; and selected chemical analyses of ground water. Water resources data for Maine, water year 1974

Water resources data for the 1974 water year for Maine including records of streamflow or reservoir storage at gaging stations, partial-record stations, and miscellaneous sites, records of water-quality data on the chemical and physical characteristics of surface- and ground-water, and records of ground-water levels in index wells are given in this report. In Part 1, records are included for 63 gaging stations, of which 62 are streamflow discharge stations, and 1 is a lake station; also are included records for 22 crest-stage partial-record stations, and 14 miscellaneous sites. In Part 2, water quality data on chemical, physical, and biological characteristics of surface and ground water were collected from designated sampling sites at predetermined intervals such as once daily, weekly, monthly, or less frequently, and at some sites data were recorded on punched paper tape at 60minute intervals. Records are given for 38 sampling stations of which 11 are continuous record stations, and 27 are miscellaneous sites. Records of chemical analyses are also given for 21 ground-water sites. In Part 3, water level data are shown for 11 ground-water wells. Locations of surface-water stations, water-quality stations, and ground-water wells are shown in figure 2. A few pertinent stations in bordering States and Provinces are also included in this report. The records were collected and computed by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of G. S. Hayes, District Chief, succeeded by C. R. Wagner. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Maine.

Water resources data for Mississippi, water year 1973

Water resources data for the 1973 water year for Mississippi including records of streamflow or reservoir storage at gaging stations, partial-record stations, and miscellaneous sites, and records of water-quality data on the chemical and physical characteristics of surface water, are given in this report. In Part 1, records are included for 79 gaging stations of which 75 are streamflow discharge stations, and 4 are reservoir or lake stations; also are included records for 58 low-flow partial-record stations, 139 crest-stage partial-record stations, and 79 miscellaneous sites. Locations of gaging stations are shown in Figure 1. In Part 2, data on the quality of surface water (chemical and temperature) were collected from designated sampling sites at predetermined intervals such as monthly, or less frequently. Records are given for 70 sampling stations of which 32 are continuous record stations, 26 are partial-record stations, and 12 are miscellaneous sites. Locations of water-quality stations are shown in Figure 1. A few pertinent stations (not included above) furnished by bordering States are also included in this report. The records were collected and computed by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of L. E. Carroon, district chief. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Mississippi.

Water resources data for Missouri, water year 1973

Water resources data for the 1973 water year for Missouri including records of streamflow or reservoir storage at gaging stations, partial-record stations, and miscellaneous sites, and records of water-quality data on the chemical and physical characteristics of surface water, are given in this report. In Part 1, records are included for 146 gaging stations of which 139 are streamflow discharge stations, and 7 are reservoir or lake stations; also are included records for 106 crest-stage partial-record stations. Locations of gaging stations are shown in figure 1. In Part 2, data on the quality of surface water (chemical, temperature, and sediment) were collected from designated sampling sites at predetermined intervals such as once daily, weekly, monthly, or less frequently, and at some sites data were recorded on punched paper tape at 30-, or 60minute intervals. Records are given for 114 sampling stations of which 25 are partial-record stations, and 30 are miscellaneous sites. Locations of water-quality stations are shown in figure 2. A few pertinent stations (not included above) in bordering states are also included in this report. The records were collected and computed by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of Anthony Homyk, district chief. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Missouri. Beginning with the 1961 water year, streamflow records and related data have been released by the Geological Survey in annual reports on a State-boundary basis. Water-quality records beginning with the 1964 water year have been similarly released either in separate reports or in conjunction with streamflow records. These reports are for limited distribution and are designed primarily for rapid release of data shortly after the end of the water year.

Missouri

Water resources data for Missouri, water year 1972

Water resources data for the 1972 water year for Missouri including records of streamflow or lake storage at gaging stations, partial-record stations, and selected springs, and records of water-quality data on the chemical and physical characteristics of surface and ground water, are given in this report. In Part 1, records are included for 157 gaging stations of which 150 are streamflow discharge stations, and 7 are lake stations; also are included records for 104 crest-stage partial-record stations. Locations of gaging stations are shown in Figure 1. In Part 2, data on the quality of surface water (chemical, temperature, and sediment) were collected from designated sampling sites at predetermined intervals such as weekly, monthly, or less frequently, and at some sites data were recorded on punched paper tape at 30-, or 60-minute intervals. Records are given for 84 sampling stations of which 25 are partial-record stations and 5 are miscellaneous sites. Locations of water-quality stations are shown in Figure 2. A few pertinent stations (not included above) in bordering States are also included in this report. The records were collected and computed by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of Anthony Homyk, district chief. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Missouri.

Missouri

Water resources data for Arizona, water year 1972

Water resources data for the 1972 water year for Arizona include records of data for the chemical and physical characteristics of surface water. Data on the quality of surface water (chemical, temperature, and sediment) were collected from designated sampling sites at predetermined intervals, such as once daily, weekly, monthly, or less frequently; at some sites, data were collected continuously by means of automatic recording devices . Records are given for 77 sampling stations, of which 46 are continuous record stations, 8 are partial-record stations, and 23 are miscellaneous sampling stations. Locations of surface water-quality stations are shown in figures 1 and 2. A few pertinent stations in bordering States are also included. The records were collected by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of H. M. Babcock, district chief. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected bythe U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Arizona. The Geological Survey has published records of chemical quality, water temperatures, and sediment since 1941 in an annual s eries of water-supply papers entitled, ''Quality of Surface Waters of the United States." Beginning with the 1964 water year, water - quality records have been released by the Geological Survey in annual reports on a State boundary basis. These reports are for limited distribution and are designed primarily for rapid release of data shortly after the end of the water year. These records will be published later in Geological Survey water-supply papers.

Arizona

Water resources data for Mississippi, water year 1971

Water resources data for the 1971 water year for Mississippi including records of streamflow or reservoir storage at gaging stations, partial-record stations, and miscellaneous sites, and records of water-quality data on the chemical and physical characteristics of surface water, are given in this report. In Part 1, records are included for 71 gaging stations of which 67 are streamflow discharge stations, and 4 are reservoir or lake stations; also are included records for 27 low-flow partial-record stations, 143 crest-stage partial-record stations, and 91 miscellaneous sites. Locations of gaging stations are shown in Figure 1. In Part 2, data on the quality of surface water (chemical and temperature) were collected from designated sampling sites at pre-determined intervals such as monthly, or less frequently, and at one site data were recorded on punched paper tape at 60-minute intervals. Records are given for 55 sampling stations of which 5 are continuous record stations, 26 are partial-record stations, and 3 are miscellaneous sites. Locations of water-quality stations are shown in Figure 1. A few pertinent stations (not included above) in bordering States are also included in this report. The records were collected and computed by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey under the direction of L. E. Carroon, district chief. These data represent that portion of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Mississippi.

Mississippi

Water Resources Data, Georgia, 2002--Volume 1: Continuous water-level, streamflow, water-quality data, and periodic water-quality data, Water Year 2002

Water resources data for the 2002 water year for Georgia consists of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; and the stage and contents of lakes and reservoirs published in two volumes in a digital format on a CD-ROM. Volume one of this report contains water resources data for Georgia collected during water year 2002, including: discharge records of 154 gaging stations; stage for 165 gaging stations; precipitation for 105 gaging stations; information for 20 lakes and reservoirs; continuous water-quality records for 27 stations; the annual peak stage and annual peak discharge for 72 crest-stage partial-record stations; and miscellaneous streamflow measurements at 50 stations, and miscellaneous water-quality data recorded by the NAWQA program in Georgia. Volume two of this report contains water resources data for Georgia collected during calendar year 2002, including continuous water-level records of 155 ground-water wells and periodic records at 132 water-quality stations. These data represent that part of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Georgia.

Water Resources Data for Alaska, Water Year 1996

Water resources data for the 1996 water year for Alaska consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; stages of lakes; and water levels and water quality of ground water. This volume contains records for water discharge at 85 gaging stations; stage or contents only at 5 gaging stations; water quality at 19 gaging stations; and water levels for 49 observation wells. Also included are data for 56 crest-stage partial-record stations and 2 lakes. Additional water data were collected at various sites not involved in the systematic data-collection program and are published as miscellaneous measurements and analyses. These data represent that part of the National Water Data System operated by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Alaska.

Water resources data for the 1976 water year for Alabama consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; stage and contents of lakes and reservoirs; and water levels of ground water. This report contains records for water discharge at 95 gaging stations; stage only at 16 gaging stations; stage and contents of 12 lakes and reservoirs; water quality at 64 gaging stations, 24 partial-record stations, and 2 wells; and water levels at 59 observation wells. Also included are data for 23 crest-stage and 11 flood hydrograph partial-record stations. Location of these sites are shown on figures 4-7. Water resources data for Alabama, water year 1985

Water resources data for the 1985 water year for Alabama consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; stage and contents of lakes and reservoirs; and water levels in wells. This report includes records on both surface and ground water in the State. Specifically, it contains: (1) Discharge records for 86 streamflow-gaging stations, for 62 partial-record or miscellaneous streamflow stations, and for 4 crest-stage or partial-record streamflow stations; (2) stage and content records for 13 lakes and reservoirs and stage at 27 stations; (3) water-quality records for 22 streamflow-gaging stations, for 66 ungaged streamsites, and for 7 wells; and (4) water-level records for 62 observation wells. Discharge records for a few pertinent stations in bordering States are also included in this report.

Alabama

Water resources data for Arkansas, water year 1979

Water resources data for the 1979 water year for Arkansas consist of records of stage, discharge, and water quality of streams; stage, contents, and water quality of lakes and reservoirs; and water levels of wells. This report contains discharge records for 66 gaging stations; stage and contents for four lakes and reservoirs; water quality for 151 gaging stations, 51 partial-record stations, seven lakes, and five wells; and water levels for 83 observation wells. Also included are data for 125 crest-stage partial-record stations. Additional water data were collected at various sites, not part of the systematic-data collection program, and are published as miscellaneous measurements. These data represent that part of the National Water Data System operated by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Arkansas.

Arkansas

Water resources data for Arkansas, water year 1986

Water resources data for the 1986 water year for Arkansas consist of records of gage height, discharge, and water quality of streams; water quality of lakes; and water levels and water quality of wells. This report contains discharge records for 48 gaging stations; water quality for 154 stations, 73 partial-record stations, 5 observation wells, and 1 precipitation station, and water levels for 96 observation wells. Also included are data for 85 crest-stage partial record stations. Additional water data were collected at various sites, not part of the systematic data-collection program, and are published as miscellaneous measurements. These data represent that part of the National Water Data System operated by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Arkansas. Records of discharge or gage height of streams, and contents or elevation of lakes were first published in a series of U.S. Geological Survey water-supply papers entitled "Surface Water Supply of the United States." Through September 30, 1960, these water-supply papers were in an annual series and for 1961-65 and 1966-70 were in a 5 -year series. Records of chemical quality, water temperatures, and suspended sediment were published from 1941 to 1970 in an annual series of water-supply papers entitled "Quality of Surface Waters of the United States." Records of ground-water levels were published from 1935 to 1974 in a series of water-supply papers entitled "Ground Water Levels in the United States." Water-supply papers may be consulted in the libraries of the principal cities in the United States or may be purchased from Branch of Distribution, U.S. Geological Survey, 1200 South Eads Street, Arlington, VA 22202. For water years 1961 through 1974, streamflow data were released by the Geological Survey in annual reports on a State-boundary basis. Water-quality records for water years 1964 through 1974 were similarly released, either in separate reports or in conjuction with streamflow records. Beginning with the 1975 water year, water data for streamflow, water quality, and ground water are published as an official Survey report on a State-boundary basis. These official Survey reports carry an identification number consisting of the two-letter State abbreviation, the last two digits of the water year, and the volume number. For example, this report is identified as "U.S. Geological Survey Water Data Report AR-86-1."
